What we collect
- Your account details: email address and password, stored securely and never readable by us.
- Your learner profiles: the languages you’re learning, your stated ability, interests and concepts.
- Your reading activity: what you opened, how far you got, and roughly how long you were actively reading.
- Your feedback: whether a reading felt too easy, just right or too hard, what made it hard, and whether you enjoyed the topic.
- Words and phrases you park, with the sentence they came from.
- Membership status from our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
Why we collect it
All of it exists to answer one question well: what should you read next? Your feedback, reading behaviour and parked expressions shape the difficulty and subject matter of what LoomLingo recommends to you. We also use aggregate, non-identifying signals to judge the quality of readings in our library.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t show you advertising.
- We don’t make your reading history, parked expressions or profiles visible to other members.
Keeping and deleting your data
Cancelling a membership doesn’t delete anything. Your profiles, history and parked expressions stay as they are in case you come back. If you want your account and its data deleted permanently, email support@loomlingo.com and we’ll take care of it.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run LoomLingo: hosting and database infrastructure, a payment processor for memberships, and an AI provider used server-side to write new readings when our library has no good match. Your account credentials are never shared with the AI provider.
